Community Resource Locator—Education

The right to education is essential to economic, social and cultural rights. Achieving the right to basic education was granted to all people with developmental disabilities in 1975. Since that time, schools have developed special education programs to support students to receive free and appropriate public education. Special education and related services are designed to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities and prepare them for employment and independent living.

Children birth to three, who experience developmental delays, are all able to access early intervention services in Clark County. Early intervention has proven to be very successful in supporting families through challenging times and helping children achieve significant strides in their development. These services assist young children in preparing for and transitioning to public school.

This section lists all local school districts and early intervention service providers which are funded through Clark County and the local districts. For further information, contact the agency or school district directly.
