Community Resource Locator—Employment
Employment is the foundation of adult life in America. It provides a door to social inclusion and a pathway out of poverty and dependence. One of the main roles of the Developmental Disabilities Programs are to plan, develop, fund, and manage the employment of adults with developmental disabilities. In this section you will see the different agencies that provide employment services to people with developmental disabilities. Access to these services is through Washington State Division of Developmental Disabilities at 360-696-6350.
Both public and private employers in Clark County have recognized that people with developmental disabilities make great employees. The wide range of employers who hire people with disabilities is also listed in this section. For general information about employment of people with developmental disabilities or how you can participate as an employer, contact Clark County Developmental Disabilities at 360-397-2130.
