The geographic information contained on this site is not to be construed or used as a "legal description". Every effort has been made to ensure the map accuracy, but errors in mapping or errors in the source documents do occur. These maps are for information purposes only and may not represent actual conditions.

Information used here is created from available public records and existing map sources, not directly from field surveys. Map features from all sources have been adjusted to achieve the "best fit ". While great care was taken in this process, maps from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features.

These maps are a visual reference of the recorded legal documents which define property ownership in our county. In addition parcels are defined and drawn to serve as a geographic reference for attaching many land and building characteristics to a geographic location. The map does not take the place of any legal documents, and does not determine ownership rights or actual property size.

These maps are not a substitute for a field survey. The precise location of property boundaries on the ground must be determined by a land surveyor registered to practice in the State of Washington.

In some cases, tax (and other) maps include parcel boundary bearing and distance measurements. However, these are short-form legal survey values, and won't typically scale precisely on the maps.

Measurements are suitable for planning and general reference estimates, but should not be used for such activities as permitting or building a fence along a property line.

Maps Online can be used to help find the survey markers that define the true property corners, but if the markers are not located, professional surveyors should be employed to determine the property boundaries before building or changing anything on or near the property line.

Although survey documents, drawings and plats are referenced in constructing the tax map, inconsistencies between documents and survey methods that result in appearances of property overlap and/or areas of non-ownership are not shown. Individual properties, in many cases, are shrunk or expanded to fit available map space and these inherent mapping ambiguities are not explicitly shown.

Although we will try to keep map information as current as possible, map features change on a daily basis and may not be reflected in the Map Browser for up to 3 weeks.
